AM I AN ALBINO?

Well I am not an Albino. I am an individual with a lot of interest in the way Albino(s) live their every day lives. Do you know anyone with RECESSIVE GENES(anyone who is an albino has this). Would you believe not only Humans suffer from this condition of Albinism. Well this site will reveal a lot concerning the conditions of thousands of people who live with this condition.

WHAT EXACTLY IS ALBINISM?

The word "ALBINISM" refers to a group of inherited conditions. People with albinism have little or no PIGMENT in the eyes, skin, and hair (or in some cases in the eyes alone). They have inherited from their parents an altered copy of a GENES that does not work correctly. The altered gene does not allow the body to make the usual amounts of a pigment called MELANIN. Approximately one in 17,000 people have one of the types of albinism. About 25,000 people in Nigeria are affected. Albinism affects people from all races. The parents of most children with albinism have normal hair and eye color for their ethnic background, and do not have a family history of albinism. Anyone with this condition lives like a normal individual.

Animals too are ALBINO(s)

Can you beat that? Just when you think only Human Beings are albinos(s) you find out there are lots of animalswho are also albino(s). Well since being an Albino means there is a condition with the skin where there is little of no pigment in the skin, this condition affects all types of animals. There's something strange about looking at this albino gorilla on the left. It just looks too creepy. The gorilla even has an evil smirk on its white face. I think if I saw one in real life, I would avoid direct eye contact. I would just look from afar, and watch it eat some albino bananas or something. And maybe I'll go to the cenima afterwards. Also I feel sorry for the albino pythons all around the world, because you could easily mistake them for one giant Abba-Zabba candy bar. There's probably some drunk or wacky person trying to eat one right now. And the guy in the picture looks a little too happy to be holding one, if you know what I mean jelly bean.

What is percent chance to have a Albino child?

Yes, Albinism is heriditery, which means it is passed on tro your genes. Would be a good Idea check if any one in both of your family was/is Albino. But it is not necessory to have some blood relative to have an Albino child--Of cource not scaring you-- It is how the genes plays!!!!.One of my good friends has an albino baby it was a bit of a shock for her as she knew her husband carried the gene and found out after she had the baby she carried the gene also. It is very rare but they have been told they have a 1 in 4 change of having another albino baby her baby seems happy and healthy but doesnt have the best of vision which I am unsure happens because she is albino I dont like to mention to my friend and dont ask her questions about her baby being albino.

PHOTOPHOBIA - WHAT IS IT?

If you are sensitive to light, you may suffer from Photophobia. People who suffer from photophobia find almost any light to be irritating. From natural sunlight, to fluorescent indoor lighting, to the ordinary light bulb, all can be troublesome. Extremely bright light will bother some photophobics, and in rare cases, an individual with photophobia will avoid every kind of light. As a result of this light sensitivity, people with photophobia often find themselves squinting, and even closing their eyes when exposed to bright light. Headaches are common in photophobics as a result of bright light exposure.Who Is Most Predisposed To Photophobia?* Those who see only in shades of gray* People who suffer from regular migraine headaches* Albinos* People with light colored eyesGenerally, people with photophobia have an additional underlying medical problem with the light sensitivity simply a part of the that condition. An example would be someone who suffers from migraine headaches.Additional conditions that may involve photophobia would include conjunctivitis, corneal abrasion, uveitis, and detached retina. Conjunctivitis is a very common eye ailment causing the eyes to become pink and inflamed, usually as a result of an allergy or infection. Conjunctivitis can be successfully treated with antibiotic eye drops.
