PHOTOPHOBIA - WHAT IS IT?



If you are sensitive to light, you may suffer from Photophobia. People who suffer from photophobia find almost any light to be irritating. From natural sunlight, to fluorescent indoor lighting, to the ordinary light bulb, all can be troublesome. Extremely bright light will bother some photophobics, and in rare cases, an individual with photophobia will avoid every kind of light.As a result of this light sensitivity, people with photophobia often find themselves squinting, and even closing their eyes when exposed to bright light. Conjunctivitis is a very common eye ailment causing the eyes to become pink and inflamed, usually as a result of an allergy or infection. Conjunctivitis can be successfully treated with antibiotic eye drops.
